But here’s the thing—just searching your name isn’t enough. There’s a critical search you should be doing regularly that could reveal problems you didn’t even know existed: searching your business name with the word ‘reviews’ at the end.

 

Why Searching for Reviews Matters

Imagine this scenario: A potential customer is considering working with you. They do a quick Google search, but instead of just your business name, they add ‘reviews’ to the search. What they find might shock you. In my case, I found a review on Glassdoor that showed a 2.5-star rating for my business. I don’t have many employees, but somehow this review existed, and it looked bad—really bad.
